Being Global

Studying at FIU have allowed me to understand what it really means to have a "global mind" and be a "global citizen". As I said earlier the biggest learnings that I have had, are not the lessons that I have learned in class, but the experiences that I have had. It is exciting to say that at FIU I have met people from many different backgrounds, allowing me to expand my knowledge and understanding of life. Being enrolled in class with students from different citizenships opens the door for debates from points of view that I have never imagined. In school, I met a woman that was working with a foundation with a very meaningful purpose: assist the dreamers. Amazed by the purpose of it, I decided to start volunteering - my capstone. It allowed me to realize how fortunate I am; since then, I am more and more grateful everyday.

My passion for learning more about the world and what is out there, is so big that a good day on 2017 I decided to go out and exploring it by myself. That is when I decided to go backpacking the first time to countries in Europe and Africa.

I am sure my thirst for learning and exploring will never be satiated, as well as the joy of sharing my experiences and giving back to the community.
